My summer job search is over. Not that I have found a job, but I have concluded that my summer is just to full for work. Initially, I was looking for work to have at least a little spending money while I am gone, but I am no longer concerned because I am going to be busy anyways. However, maybe on my rare bit of down time I will do something.
This week is our VBS at which I am going to be a 5th and 6th grade guide and do snack time stories. Food apparently represents a lot of different things to the clever creators of the vacation Bible school package we are using.
At the end of VBS, literally as soon as its over on Friday we are leaving for Brooklyn, New York and not returning until the following Sunday. While we (my youth group) are there, we are going to do VBS, work at CHIPS (soup kitchen), volunteer at Bay Ridge Retirement Home, and help remodel the church that is hosting us. I am pretty excited and I have never been to New York before.
In the middle of July, me and daddy are going to Knoxville for a police chaplain conference that sounds pretty interesting. Hopefully, we will have a little relax time while we are there because I am doing this crazy thing I saw online and in the month of July I am going to try to read the entire Bible which I hear takes about 2 and a half hours a day for about thirty days.
Also, in July right before or right after this conference, the church is hosting a fundraiser lunch for me because they are amazing. Side Note: Right now, I have a little over half of my funding in, still need more and quick but God is faithful.
And then, the beginning of August, we have training camp.
So, thats my summer. Super busy, super fun.
Peace and Love,
Nadia
Also, I would like to add that my 18th birthday is on tuesday. Might go to Chuck E Cheese or have a movie fest in the barn, don't know yet. Might be too tired from those crazy adolescents.
