When you are a part of a completely Christian community full of ridiculously devoted people for a week, your life kind of changes.
What does such a community look like you might wonder.... A lot of hilarious kids. Some phenomenal leaders. And all GOD. If one person sneezes, a chorus of blessings is lifted up. Serving each other and God continually from washing dishes to healing throats. Speaking peace and life. Living by love and prayer. Every Day.
This is one of the worship songs we sang that really embodied our group this week.
The first verse is like the world questioning us:
What does it sound like when you sing Heaven's song
What does it feel like when Heaven comes down
What does it look like when God is all around
And the second verse is us answering:
This is what it sounds like when you sing Heaven's song
This is what it feels like when Heaven comes down
This is what it looks like when God is all around
Let it come
I absolutely adore everyone I met this week and all of the experiences we went through together. One night, to the detriment of my beloved parents, we slept, yes slept, and ministered on the streets of downtown Atlanta in small groups. The next day I was assured that I was in fact going with the most amazing team (all girls) to Uganda, no offense to any other awesome team. Prophecy was our focus the following day; the only catch was that we did not know who we were prophesying over. We had communion and symbolically gave our burdens to the cross. Other random things worth mentioning: we ran while in a circle holding hands, had a brief scare including a local sheriff and a bridge, met several World Racers, listened to drunk men quote scripture better than us, cleaned with enthusiasm, only had one incident that required hospitalization, took part in a healing, and watched God work through everyone around us.
Earlier this week I wrote down Phillipians 1:3-11 where Paul is regarding his fellow believers in Phillipi, and I think it is meant for our team. We have deep bonds because of our purpose, our lives are intertwined Anyways, this is what Paul writes: I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God.
LOVE and Peace

P.S> Six Weeks until we're together again.
Also, I love my brother despite the fact that he totalled my car while I was gone, so if everyone could pray for him. No one was hurt badly just cuts and bruises, but he is pretty freaked. Thanks.
