Lately, I have been surrounded with people in every facet of my life who claim to be Christians. Sadly, most of them are not living in the goodness and power that such a claim should provide. Especially at school, most of them have just said a little prayer that they assume will save them for eternity, and I am not saying that it will not. However, that is all they have done and now they believe and tell everyone, right after screaming God's name in vain at the video game in front of them, that they are in fact a Christian (I am not implying that Christians don't make mistakes or are perfect, this is a regular occurence that the person does not think is wrong in any way). They have no personal side to their faith, no actual relationship with the living God, no belief in miracles, and most of my generation finds that perfectly acceptable for some reason beyond my comprehension.
Christianity is in a sad state. Even some of the wonderful God-pursuing Christians that I know and love, have little faith and I struggle with it myself at times. It is hard to believe when we are embedded in such a skeptical world.
Matthew 10:7-8 As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."
This is what Jesus told His disciples before he left this Earth. Are we not also His disciples? This is a command from God! Sure we preach, we give, we pray for healing, but do we actually expect these things to happen? When is the last time you raised someone from the dead? or have heard of such an incidence? It used to be possible, it still is, if we have faith enough to ask knowing that the Spirit of God in us is strong enough to raise the dead through us. You have to pray expecting to be answered in an overwhelmingly powerful way.
Matthew 21:22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
Why don't we believe that?
That is a promise from the living God!
and also one that has recently been proven in my life......
I have $3,000 in support now. Thank you so much to everyone who has become a part of my ministry through prayer and finances, and please continue to support me. I still have 2/3 of the money to raise, and I realize that you are trusting me to do somthing with that investment. I assure you that I am dedicated to the cause of bringing people to Christ, giving hope to the hopeless, and loving everyone I come in contact with. Thanks again.
Love Nadia.
P.S. I am not looking at my support account this month, just praying. Faith Like Potatoes.
