Tomorrow, dad and I are leaving for the lovely state of Tennessee. We are staying in the heart of Knoxville and sporadically attending the classes at the Police Chaplain Conference throughout the week. We are going to have a whole lot of free time, so I am taking some books and my hiking stick for the Smokeys. I am going to have plenty of just me and God chill time, hopefully, involving mocha cream frappachinos (I just recently learned that by inserting the word cream I no longer had to explain that I wanted absolutley no coffee in my drink. Proud.) and sunshine.
Support Update
I have : $6,155 (including Sister's of the Vine donation. I love you gals.)
I need: $2,845 more
Costs Not included: international insurance and a plane ticket to TX in September that I think I can cover from my small stash
God has surely been blessing me and showing favor on my decision to go on this trip, despite my recent neglectful spirit. However, I am rebounding thanks to that whole grace thing, kind of amazing if you ask me.
Next weekend (July 19th), we are having a fundraiser potluck following second service at Castine Church of the Brethren. It will start around noon and I will be making a small presentation during the meal. Everyone is invited, free of charge, so if you are in the area please stop in for fellowship with some mighty wonderful people.
Love
P.S. Some random Bible humor: Saul was looking for donkeys when he met Samuel and became the God-appointed King over Israel.
