Anyways, I spent some time with my friends in Beavercreek this past week, and we went putt putt golfing for fun.  On hole number 6, there were two levels to the course.  On the top level, there were three holes that led to three different exit locations to the bottom level where the actual end-of-the-course hole was.  I went first and chose the closest one.  Ellen went second and chose the farthest one.  Both of us went down the stairs to the level where our neon colored golf balls were waiting.  Matthew chose the middle one, and then followed us down to the lower level.  After a couple minutes, we realized that his golf ball was definately stuck.  So, naturally we tossed our balls in the same hole.  Very Bright aren't we?  So, all three of our balls were stuck in the 6th hole at Adventure Golf and we abandoned them.

Now, please don't be offended, but this is just like our attempt at ministering and evangelizing.  Why do we keep trying to do something the same way if it did not work the first time?  That is absolutley ridiculous when you think about it.  Me and Dad listened to this sermon by a New Zealand pastor called Hell's Best Kept Secret, as he tried to explain why our saving attempts aren't working.  He has a brilliant answer.  We are telling people of all the joy and happiness that they will receive with Christ and setting them up for failure.  My own wonderful pastor was talking about this just last week.  We don't tell people about the persecution or trials they will face, and we need to so that they can be prepared and waiting.

In HBKS, the pastor gives the analogy of 2 men who receive parachutes while they are on a plane.  One is told that the parachute will make his flight better, more comfortable, but the passengers mock him and he isn't any more comfortable and so he takes it off.  The other man is told that he will have to jump out at 25,000 ft., and gladly wears the parachute through the mocking and clings to it tightly becauses he realizes the consequences of falling from that height without a parachute.

We need to make disciples and believers, but they need to come into Christ with the right motivation.  Avioding the fall, not a better flight.  Otherwise, we set people up for an inevitable failure in their Christian walk.  The sermon talks about a lot of issues that are standing in the way of our witnessing and how to overcome them.  I would really recommend listening to it.  It's on youtube and all of those other video sites, and it has some remarkable points that we can all improve on.

Thats all for now, thanks everyone for reading and supporting

NADIA
