Let me describe to you my yesterday evening.
The epitome of feeling out of place: Nadia and KC wander outside in search of Jesse and end up dancing on stage at an African church service during worship in our pajamas (purple flames of course).
It is possible that our skin appears luminescent here because of how white we are and how not white they are.
The downfall of being famous: People are always watching and waiting to see and scream at the Mzungus ( MA ZOON GOO - White Person). So, when you fall off the back of John's bike into a bush, 100 children might be waiting to laugh at you.
The good life: Squatty Potties. A 4x6 hole in the ground that must be utilized for anything that is not liquid waste. Aiming is more difficult than you would think when you are not sitting down.
Needless to say at this point, I am in fact in the country of Uganda living with both teams. The country is amazing and dreadful, but I know I will soon be forever in love with these people.
God is here.
I encourage everyone to read Psalm 37 because it has been giving me so much hope in my struggles here. It says that the future of the upright is peace. That's it, just perfect peace with Him for the rest of time and beyond.
I love you all so much and miss being with you and hearing your voices, so please respond or contact me if you get the chance. I also want to thank you all so much for supporting me; I will never be able to express how grateful I am that you are in my life and that God has used you.
